"Soalon" is the only one triacetate filament yarn in the world,
produced by Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and we have been offering it to customers all over the world.
In this Web Exhibition, we are proposing hot items in six categories and introducing
“Soalon Sustainable Program”, our effort to protect the global environment.

Generally, cellulosic fibers made from wood pulp are sustainable materials with low environmental burdens. Among them, Soalon has obtained various environmental certifications at each stage from raw materials to yarns and fabrics. Even if fabrics have the same certification, those production processes are different from each other. Some go through just a few steps, some many processes, which greatly changes the environmental burdens and the energy efficiency. Therefore, as a new stage, we have identified the environmental burdens in every step to make fabrics, including spinning, weaving, and dyeing, and have quantified them by using in-house standards. Our fabrics have been classified into three classes according to the numbers so that the burden level of each product can be seen at a glance. With this, we will clarify the challenges for improvement and make efforts to further minimize the environmental burdens.

We created our own criteria throughout the above manufacturing processes.
Our Soalon manufacturing processes pay attention to these SDGs.
We will increase the share of Class III materials among our collection.
For the earth and the future, cooperating with suppliers,
Mitsubishi Chemical will continue to explore and promote the development
of products using sustainable materials and production methods.
